Recent workshop attendees feedback

Did you recently attend a UNAVCO workshop? Now that you've had some time to reflect, and possibly apply some of the material we covered, what was the best part of the workshop? What would you like to see changed? What other types of follow-up would you like UNAVCO to provide? Reply by commenting on this post!

I would probably ask them how they are using the materials and knowledge they obtained from the workshop. future professional development

Thank you for the materials. I'm still chewing on how to implement them into a summer class, but I really like the tools and applications. Students are really interested in materials that are used in the world, it helps them connect with what scientists do.

Hi Desert Tortise! Thanks for your comment. It's good to hear that you and your students like the materials. Let us know if you want to talk about ideas for classroom implementation.

I was excited after leaving the workshop, and I carry the binder I was given everywhere with me. I remember last year, I only spent a few weeks on earthquakes on seismicity. This year, I have so many activities and resources from the sponsors and educators from the workshop (including UNAVCO), that I'm going to have to discipline myself not to use the whole semester on just plate tectonics and earthquakes!

The workshop really helps because my whole premise is to make my students feel like scientists. When I have real data to use, that happens every day!
